Oops

Looks like I forgot about this blog. Blogs are crap anyway, except the good ones, which this isn't. Maybe I'll start again.

Mixes

Here are a couple of older mixes I have online already...

Slofunk

Warehouse Classix

Tech Classics

I should add that these mixes aren't really planned after the first couple of tunes... they're a bit rough round the edges.

I haven't been on the decks in a while, although a friend recently brought round a pile of 90's house 12"s that were found in the street (plus a rare Happy Mondays white label) so I may have to dust off the fader (literally) and let the cheese loose.

Blogging

I haven't used this thing for quite a while. I doubt very much anyone will want to read this, but I'm going to start using it as writing practice. So if this is all incredibly boring, don't be surprised, think of it as training in progress.

Some things I'm going to try to avoid:

Links to YouTube videos (unless I upload them)
You know how to use YouTube. You can look for your own clips I'm sure. (I wonder how long this resolution will last...)

Links to Wikipedia.
It can't be trusted... and it's just so easy. Journalists (even wannabe ones) shouldn't use it.

Some things I'm going to try for:

Links to DJ mixes, like these two from Andrew Weatherall, which have been aiding my Tube and bus journeys around London for the last couple of months...
Err... that's about it for now. I need to get working on the next Sidewalk article. So far I have a couple of rough ideas, one is a tabloid type thing, and a one is a guide to starting a band, a kind of indie Encyclopaedia crossed with the KLF "How to have a No.1" book. Deadline is next week... wish me luck.

I've also finally finished some business cards. They have UV overgloss bits and everything. Website revamp up next.

Welcome

Hi. I finally got a place to put my mixes up online. I got the Jim Invisible name from Al after I didn't turn up to one of his parties. He's touchy about things like that...

Hold tight for some D&B, Dubstep, and more eclectic selections.
